Island Employers Gather to Discuss the Future of Employee Benefits
More than 100 employers, HR professionals and business leaders from across the Island attended the MAC Group Employee Benefits Conference at The Comis on Tuesday 15 September.
Throughout the day, attendees heard from industry experts, wellbeing specialists, insurers and employee benefits professionals on how organisations can use employee benefits to attract, support and retain employees at different stages of life and career.
A key theme of the day was that different generations of employees have different expectations, priorities and support needs, and that employers can no longer take a one-size-fits-all approach to employee benefits.
Through a series of presentations and panel discussions, attendees heard from industry experts on topics including pensions, employee wellbeing, Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), Group Risk, Private Medical Insurance (PMI) and workplace insurance, alongside practical strategies for supporting employees throughout their careers.
Guest speakers from Finance Isle of Man, Manx Wildlife Trust and Ed Space joined industry experts from Zurich, Santé, Wisdom Wellbeing, Aviva, Unum, Intact and MAC Group to share insights and practical guidance with delegates. The programme combined expert presentations with interactive panel discussions, creating opportunities for discussion, debate and networking throughout the day.
In addition to supporting professional development for delegates, the conference raised more than £1,700 for Ed Space, MAC Group’s Charity of the Year. The donation will be increased further through support from the Z Zurich Foundation, helping to maximise the impact of the fundraising effort.
