MAC Financial Limited, the Isle of Man’s leading financial services provider for Corporate and Private clients, is seeking talented and motivated professionals to join our expanding team as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) or Senior Independent Financial Adviser (Senior IFA).

Purpose
Independent Financial Adviser
A results-driven, highly motivated individual, you possess integrity, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help clients plan for and protect their financial futures. As a qualified financial adviser, you will assess clients’ financial positions, understand their needs, and create tailored strategies to help them achieve their future financial goals and objectives.
Senior Independent Financial Adviser
Building on the foundational responsibilities of an IFA, a Senior IFA takes on additional leadership and advisory duties. In this role, you will not only work with private clients but also lead on managing and developing corporate relationships at a senior level.
Key responsibilities
Independent Financial Adviser
- Onboarding and servicing of employees within company pension schemes
- Providing full financial planning advice to MAC Group clients
- Presentations to both corporate clients and employees
- Client meeting preparation: review all required paperwork prior to meetings
- Maintain accurate notes and records regarding client matters
- Ensure full compliance with business and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrates personal integrity and professional initiatives – maintaining the highest standards at all times
- To collaborate with other teams across the MAC Group
- Ensuring internal procedures are documented, updated and adhered to, evidencing compliance with all appropriate regulations and best practice
- Regularly representing and championing MAC Financial at business / professional and social events including but not limited to industry bodies, professional events, and informal networking events
- Efficient use of technology and internal systems
Senior Independent Financial Adviser
In addition to the responsibilities of an IFA, a Senior IFA takes on the following enhanced duties:
- Maintaining a strong understanding of the financial industry, including financial products, markets, and regulations
- Senior relationship management responsibility for key corporate clients and product providers
- Handling new business enquiries and developing new leads
- Providing financial advice to high-net-worth clients
- Planning and organising the servicing of clients across a wide range of products
- Acting as the first point of contact for any paraplanning technical queries and supporting the Business Support team
- Mentoring less experienced staff and acting as a technical expert within the office

Qualifications and experience
Independent Financial Adviser
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably experienced in Intelligent Office
- Level 4 qualified, currently practicing as an IFA
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulations
- A strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
Senior Independent Financial Adviser
In addition to the core experience required for an IFA, a Senior IFA is expected to bring:
- A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience
- Proven track record in relationship management and business development
- Extensive knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulations
- The ability to work independently and provide guidance to peers
- A demonstrable high standard of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
- An intention to progress towards Level 6 Chartered status (desirable)
