Jon is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the MAC Group.
He established MAC Group in 2004, following a management buy-out of Aon’s Isle of Man financial advice business. Under Jon’s leadership, MAC Group has grown through strategic acquisitions - including those from Marsh, Anglo Irish, Island Financial Solutions, Aon (Isle of Man), and Thornton Chartered Financial Planners - in addition to leading the businesses' significant organic growth. His visionary approach and commitment to strategic development have shaped MAC Group into a comprehensive provider of client-focused financial and insurance solutions.
Over twenty years on, the MAC Group is the Isle of Man’s largest combined financial advisory and commercial insurance provider. A respected business leader, Jon has served as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of some of the Island’s most prominent companies. Recently, Jon extended his community involvement as a School Governor at King William’s College.
Jon works closely with Ed, Head of Private Client Advisory and Ann, Group Broking Manager. He has a keen interest in technology and exploring innovative ways to keep MAC Group at the forefront of the industry in the Isle of Man.

Nigel is the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Compliance for the MAC Group.
As a Chartered Accountant with a strong background in business management and finance, Nigel plays a central role in MAC’s financial strategy and oversees compliance across all areas of the business. His focus is on ensuring that MAC operates efficiently and meets the Group’s standards for quality service and performance.
Alongside his financial duties, Nigel serves as a main Board Director for all MAC Group companies, working closely with Jon to shape the Group’s strategic direction. He collaborates with leadership to keep each part of the business aligned with MAC’s goals, aiming for sustainable growth and effective governance.

Emma is MAC Financial Pension Trustee’s (MFPT) Team Leader.
Since joining MAC in 2017, Emma has gained extensive experience within MAC Financial Limited and MAC Financial Pension Trustees.
As Team Leader, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the MFPT team, provides training and support to her colleagues, and ensures a high standard of service to pension scheme members. Reporting directly to Ed Walter, Director of MFPT, Emma works closely with advisers, service providers, and clients to maintain effective and efficient processes.

As a Pension Trustee Executive, Jemma helps to administer MAC Financial Pension Trustee (MFPT) SIPP products.

Clare is MAC Group’s Senior Compliance Officer and DLMRO.
With over two decades of experience in the financial services sector, Clare has primarily worked within the regulated fund industry and has worked in compliance since 2018. Clare holds the International Compliance Association (ICA) Diploma in Governance, Risk, and Compliance and is a member of the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals (AICP).
As Senior Compliance Officer, Clare works closely with Nigel McGowan, Head of Compliance, to support the seamless integration, implementation, and oversight of MAC Group’s regulatory obligations and business goals. She also collaborates with key stakeholders, including Ann Zachorecki, Group Broking Manager; Ed Walter, Head of Private Client Advisory & Director of MFPT; and Rebecca Netten, Head of Corporate Advisory.
In her role as DMLRO, Clare acts as a key point of contact for internal disclosures made by employees and is responsible for reporting these to the relevant authorities when required. She also handles the implementation of any notices or actions issued by regulatory agencies, ensuring MAC Group remains compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.

Kirsty is MAC Group’s Client Services Manager and Data Protection Officer.
She joined MAC in 2016, bringing six years of experience from the life assurance sector. Kirsty began her career at MAC Financial as an IFA Support and Trainee Paraplanner, working towards qualifications to become an Independent Financial Adviser. She soon shifted her focus to compliance, earning her Certificate in Compliance in 2018 and taking on roles as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Protection Officer. In 2023, she was promoted to Client Services Manager.
In her role as Client Services Manager, Kirsty oversees the client services teams, coordinating their activities to ensure that our clients consistently receive the highest level of service. She works closely with Ed Walter, Managing Director of MAC Financial to identify opportunities for streamlining business processes and enhancing the overall client experience.

Nikki draws on her extensive background to support Ann, Group Broking Manager and the wider team in meeting regulatory requirements, helping to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
In addition, Nikki manages credit control, overseeing all aspects of receipts, payments and reconciling transactions.

Ed is MAC Financial Limited’s Managing Director and Director for MAC Financial Pension Trustees Limited (MFPT).
Ed is a long serving and a highly respected member of the MAC Financial team. Since joining the business in 2012, Ed has played a central role in shaping the direction of the business—building long-lasting relationships with clients, providing thoughtful leadership, and offering unwavering support to colleagues.
With over 30 years in the financial services industry, Ed is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society—reflecting his dedication to excellence and to upholding the highest professional standards. In 2023, he was awarded the Glyn Gilbert Award for outstanding academic success.
Appointed as Managing Director in 2025, Ed leads MAC Financial and MAC Financial Pension Trustees day-to-day operations, ensuring the continued delivery of the high standards of service and advice that clients have come to expect. Both businesses comprise a team of 10 financial advisers supporting both private and corporate clients, alongside paraplanning, compliance, administration, marketing and pension administration teams.

With over 14 years of experience in financial services, Mike has a proven track record of delivering tailored solutions in Group Life, Income Protection, Added Value Services and Critical Illness cover. He also holds the CII Diploma in Financial Planning.
Since joining MAC Group in 2020, Mike has played a key role in expanding the firm’s Group Risk services. In 2024, he was promoted to Senior Group Risk Consultant.
